Belfast Royal Hotel

Belfast Royal Hotel is a newly renovated hotel that offers splendid accommodation to travellers through Mpumalanga.

Accommodation is offered in 16 Double Rooms, with en-suite bathrooms. Hot water bottles are provided on cooler evenings and tea and coffee-making facilities are also available.

The hotel opened its doors in 1873 for the exhausted travellers who arrived at the station. They were transported by royal coach to the warm hospitality of the hotel, a log fire and a hot meal. Those who slept over received hot water bottles, hot soup and hot chocolate. The brave, among the travellers, never said no to a glass of the finest Cape Sherry.

Pack-packers & contractor rooms available from R 300 per night per room.

  • "not so good"

    05 August 2014

"We actually thought of sleeping there because of the age of the hotel.the pictures on the website is not near what that hotel looks like.in the end we slept at the guest house at a more expensive tariff.I just feel you should update the fotos of that hotel.it was very misleading."

  • "Disastrous! Zero stars if it allowed me"

    08 July 2013

"No water. No plug power. Noisy. Disorganised. BAD value for money and grubby. We actually cancelled our 2nd booking and it urked me that I payed any money for this establishment. We all agreed that sleeping in the car would have been a nicer option."
