Merlon Self-catering House is a charming and simple but comfortable holiday home situated in the picturesque village of Bettys Bay. Located close to Stony Point, and within a kilometre of Silversands Beach; the house offers a home away from home experience to recharge your batteries from the stresses of city life. The house offers self-catering accommodation for up to 10 people, in five bedrooms and three bathrooms. Bedrooms One and Five contain king-size beds, and Bedrooms Two, Three and Four have single beds. The beds in Bedrooms Two and Three can be converted into king-size beds if required, by prior arrangement. Bedrooms One and Five have en-suite facilities, one with a bath and shower, the second with only a shower. The third bathroom is a large family sized one with shower and bath. Come and enjoy the 200 plus TC linen to make your rest and recharge extra special. The large farmhouse-style kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, electric oven, dishwasher, toaster, fridge, microwave, chest freezer, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans. For your convenience, we leave some of our kitchen consumables for guests to use while at the property, such as salt and pepper, olive oil, tea and coffee, spices, Dishwashing liquid for dishes, detergent for the dishwasher, black bags and toilet paper. You need only bring your delicious food stuff, drinks, beach towels and personal toiletries. Own wood to be obtained from the garage or superette in Betty's Bay, for the two braais on wheels. Braai grids and braai tongs are provided for use during your stay.There is no music system, intentionally so, to enhance the peaceful ambience of the establishment, however DStv is available for those cold winter nights when you cannot be outside. A DVD player also available. If you find yourself having to be indoors, several board games are provided to keep both kiddies and adults entertained, such as 30 Seconds, Junior Scrabble, Dominos, Snakes and Ladders, Ludo, Uno, cards and Zanzibar Boa. There is a washing machine on the property.

"We really enjoyed our stay at Merlon Self catering House.We were warmly welcomed by the hosts, who had taken care to ensure we felt comfortable down to the fine details-like milk, drinks, spices, pasta and more awaiting us after our long journey. The house was very clean and comfortable. We were so glad to find games, beach towels, chairs, boogy boards and more all available for our use. If there was anything we needed during our stay the host s were prompt in their response.We felt the genuine desire of the hosts to ensure we had a great holiday in their home."

"We, our family of 9, stayed in Merlon SC House,Betty'sBay, from 8-13 April 2015. The house is extremely well equipt. We have stayed in many SC facilities,Europe,Namibia and South Africa and we all agreed that this was the absolute best we have ever stayed in. We also received visitors for lunch one day and counted 14 people - this was however no problem as the diningroom as well as the outside entertainment area provided more than enough space to not feel crouded at all. Linen,towels,etc. is just of the best quality, as is the kitchen utensils.Fantastic position as well. The reception was friendly and we really felt very special. I highly recommend Merlon SC and we will definitely try to be back one day. Thankyou Loren,Caroline and Grann.<div><br /></div>"

"A group of 10 friends stayed at Merlon and had a fantastic time. The rooms are all very comfortable and you can see the sea from the property. The house has everything you could need and plenty that you would not normally find in a self catering stay. It's these small touches that really made Merlon stand out for us. From cooler boxes and beach umbrellas to a cupboard stocked with all the "essentials" (tea/coffee/olive oil/spices/etc) for our use, it really made the stay that much more pleasurable. :)"

"Merlon House turned out to be over and above what we expected! The house is sunny, super clean and very, very comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials you could ever need (even a food processor and basic groceries) and the three bathrooms are clean and well equipped with fresh towels and handwash soap. There is a braai area and beautiful ocean view, secure parking and two of the bedrooms have sunrooms with lounging area. The beds were very luxurious and the two women who run it were so friendly and accommodating (thank you to them). Three words to describe this holiday home - spacious, comfortable and stylish. I will not hesitate to make this a regular holiday accommodation :)"
