"If you ever have the opportunity to stay over in Betty's Bay, do yourself a favour and book your accommodation at Van Den Berg's Guesthouse/B&B. A stunning home with beautiful spotless rooms and scrumptious breakfasts. The van den Berg's - Era and Raoul are such wonderful hosts. We loved our stay with them and if the chances arises in the future I would most definitely go back. Thank you for your hospitality."

"A very, very lovely home away from home. The best sleep ever under the starry sky and the distant surf . Era and Raoul are perfect hosts. South African hospitality at its best during sun-downers on their veranda or "stoop" with the view of South African sunsets over the Indian Ocean. Insightful chats and valuable tips to other interesting sites in the Karoo. Breakfast to keep you going for the day! Made to order with love by Era. Only bad thing is I had to leave after only 2 nights. Both Era and Raoul made my solo stay here so warm & welcoming. For once, no fences!"

"Raoul and Era couldn't have been more welcoming. On Mondays and Tuesday everything shuts down for dinner in. But not a problem our wonderful guests cooked us a Braai (South African BBQ). The accommodation, the whale suite, was spacious, very comfortable and had wheelchair accessibility. You even had your own entrance if you didn't want to use the main door. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. We would definitely would stay again."

"We stayed here for two nights in the "honeymoon suite" (ours was long ago!). It was tastefully decorated, with a huge en-suite bathroom that had a bath as well as a separate shower. A fridge in the room with water and soft drinks for our use and fresh fruit. Our hosts Era and Raoul were welcoming and invited us to share a sundowner with them both evenings. Prior to our arrival I had enquired if they recommended a local restaurant, which they did and booked a table for us. The breakfast was fantastic everything you could want, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals,cheeses, cooked meat, croissants etc and full English. They are knowledgeable about the local area and fantastic hosts."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it to friends and colleagues. I do have one comment however - the tiny sink that only has cold water (no hot) is not suitable for a self-catering unit. While there were ample kitchen utensils etc, it was almost impossible to wash them in this mini prep-bowl!"
