Rooiheuwel-Noord Accommodation

Rooiheuwel-Noord Accommodation offers guests a comfortably stay in three self-catering cottages on a working dairy farm, within a short drive of the town Bot River.

Each cottage sleeps five guests and consists of two bedrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with three single beds, while the second has two single beds. The bathroom is shared and consists of a shower only. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with a two-plate stove and small oven, a microwave, a fridge, cutlery and crockery, some pots and pans, a toaster and a kettle. The lounge is comfortably furnished and is equipped with a fireplace and a TV.

Guests can take long walks, go black bass fishing in the dam, watch the cows get milked, take a drive through the lands or take a hike on one of the three hiking trails on the mountain. A jungle gym and trampoline will keep children and older kids entertained and at night a bonfire in the boma and the starry skies create a magical atmosphere.

"We really enjoyed our two night stay at Rooiheuwel-Noord. We enjoyed seeing the cows being milked, and even had the opportunity to collect some chicken eggs as well. A real farm experience!"

"We were 3 couples and 4 kids looking for a rustic getaway. This we certainly found at Rooiheuwel Noord. The kids played in the splash pool and with the farm animals, while the adults took long walks or just sat down and enjoyed the peace and quiet of country life. We returned home rejuvenated."

"These simple cottages on a working farm offer everything my young family needed for a weekend break from the city. Close enough to drive out for just one night if you can't spare two. Well-equipped so you don't need to take more than food, toiletries and clothes. Short drive into Botrivier where, if you've forgotten something in line of bread or shampoo, this will offer you the opportunity to visit the quaint general dealer. Trampoline, swings, pool, hiking trails... Beautiful views and a fireplace, quiet nights except for the sound of crickets. We managed to see the cows being milked early-morning and that added to our special break. We will be back to enjoy the hospitality again another time!"

"We were there for 3 days in 2 of the cottages with almost our whole family (and for 1 night also a few friend of our children) for the wedding dec 28th in Houw Hoek Inn of our son and his wife now.We enjoyed the staying a lot. For us it looks as it was in the middle of nowhere, but it was so quiet, a lovely view and beautiful stars at night."
