  • "Awesome honeymoon spent at Nyaru"

    16 November 2013

"We spent an amazing few days at Nyaru Game Lodge. The tranquil surroundings inspires a sense of relaxation and a feeling that you're all alone in the bush (even though the town is a short 10 minute drive away). Food was delicious and there's no better way to wind down after an awesome day than to relax on the deck with a cocktail and nature.Hosts were so attentive and the chalets were lovely. Definitely a great stay!"

  • "Perfect peace and hospitality"

    15 March 2013

"We were delighted with the reception and services at this lodge. Nothing was too much trouble and we received an excellent tour of the game park by quad bike. Food, drinks, atmosphere and facilities are highly recommended. I have now recovered from my early-morning stroll into the path of a rhino!"

  • "We had an amazing time"

    06 March 2013

"We were looking for a game lodge relatively close to Cape Town, which is small enough to be intimate and quiet. That is what we got at Nyaru, plus some. We were really happy with the condition of the accommodation and cannot fault Elmarie and Ruan on their hospitality. The lodge is beautifully situation and kept and really comfortable. We opted to braain on our "stoep" three out of the four nights and loved the stillness of nature. There is nothing like a fire, stars, night sounds and braaivleis to make one just relax completely. Everything we wanted and needed was supplied and we are extremely grateful to have had the experience. We shall go again and recommend Nyaru to our friends and family. The quad bikes is a must."

  • "Wonderful"

    25 February 2012

"What a wonderful place!! Just beautiful. The quad bike safari is a must. You get a lot closer to the animals on horse back but we felt rushed and didn't have much of a chance to take photo's as the guide didn't seem to like to stop for long enough when we got near the wildlife. Taking a photo on a moving horse is a little difficult. The food there was really good and reasonably priced plus you could braai and they even provided the wood. Very friendly, we think it is a family run buisness. Would definitely stay there again."

  • "A place to relax and enjoy"

    31 October 2011

"If anyone wants to experience fantastic hospitality and facilities - Nyaru is the place. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute at the game lodge. On top of the awesome quad bike trip around the farm and experiencing the wild animals so close at hand, the peaceful setting and the amazing people made this weekend really enjoyable. The location was great as we were also able to take short drives out and then come back in time for sundowners. Nice 4x4 game drive and a lovely meal at the lodge. Many thanks Ruan, Almarie and Chris."
