Krokodilpoort Lodge

Krokodiloort Lodge offers a welcome retreat from the busy city life, set on the banks of the Crocodile River you will be able to relax in nature. The 7 km gravel road, on the way to the farm, will prepare you for the unspoilt beauty of nature; a way of clearing your head and recharging your batteries.

There are three rooms next to the river. It is possible to rent one room at a time, but the setting is ideal for a weekend away for family and friends. The focus is on quality time in nature. There is an open-plan cement veranda connecting the rooms. The veranda ends right on the Krokodil River and with the spectacular mountains all around you, you will be sure to enjoy your break away.

There is a communal get-together area, with a big fridge, kitchen sink, a cold bubble bath and a beautiful swimming pool. In addition, there is another cold shower and toilet. Braai facilities are also available.

We are nature lovers and want to give the opportunity to friends and family to escape from the city. The rooms will not be serviced while you are here, and if you forget something at home, you will have to go to town.

It is a rocky environment, so be sure to bring hiking shoes if you wish to go on a trail. There is plenty of bird life in the surrounding area including fish eagles, African grey hornbills, and a variety of kingfishers among others. Guests can also spot game, including giraffe, kudu, impala, blue wildebeest, waterbuck, zebra and red hartebeest. The game is relatively tame and regularly come down to the waterhole, close to the swimming pool, to drink.

"I dont think anything needs improvement. With a hickup or 2 turned out to be funny we had such a lovely time and cant wait to return. Very friendly and helpful owners and staff. Splendid views all round... loved it. I love my own bed this one was nice and so spacious. We had a loveley time."

"it was ok but will not go back. I guess u get why you pay for. The unit was grubby and terribly decorated. Divers and pillows were thin and linen was old. No one to clean the braai area or sweep up."
