The area of Bronkhorstspruit is a small farming village that developed from a train station. This town is home to the Nan Hua Buddhist Temple where people flock for an annual Head Shaving Ceremony. Bronkhorstspruit Dam Nature Reserve is home to over 200 species of birds including the elusive pink-billed lark. The dam has also become known as a angling hotspot with particular focus on the bass. Guests can bring equipment and enjoy activities such as jet-skiing and windsurfing on the dam.

"Terrible bedding, terrible towels (actually just recieved one) Found a packet of condoms next to the bed and inside the drawers empty packets. There was a big green block of Sunlight soap on the basin, no bathroom mats, inside the cupboard there was a bag full of clothes with a jacket. We left and did not sleep there! Terrible terrible terrible!!!!!!!"

"Corrie was very accommodating and friendly.While the accommodation was clean and the beds and bathroom well appointed, I was very disappointed with the "self catering" aspects.<br/>No plates and cutlery supplied at all. Just coffee sachets were offered. <br/>"

"Lovely and quiet. Clean and safe. We had a pleasant and peaceful weekend. Please consider new furniture for the suit, and a few self catering amenities as it is listed as self catering. A few plates for takeaways make a big difference. Regardless loved the town of Bronkhorstspruit and our stay, we will definitely be back."

"I booked and paid for all 3 rooms at Abiekwa 4 months prior to our arrival date only to get a 1 liner email the day before our stay to say they would not be able to accommodate us. When I eventually got hold of the owner I was told due to their contract client extending their stay they were no longer able to help us leaving me with less the 12hrs to make alternative arrangements for 6 people.I find this absolutely appalling and hope SafariNow will remove this establishment from their site as this is clearly not the first time it has happened."

"I am very disappointed.I was notified a day prior to my stay that I will be moved to the Bronx guest house.Upon arrival i was not impressed as it was a standard room as all the luxury rooms were fully booked.We had no choice but to check in as we were attending a wedding.Returning from the wedding to sleep we were horrified with the bedding as it had stains from previous users and was so old it was badly faded in many areas and generally unsanitary.My wife and I could not accept this and had to drive back to Johannesburg at 1am.This is unacceptable!"
