  "We had a pleasant stay. I travelled with my 2 children aged 4 and 7. The kids loved the play area and swimming pool and enjoyed following all the little paths through the garden looking for the resident bunnies. My family visited us there and we had a lovely evening on the veranda by the pool. Lots of benches and tables around.It has a forest park feel.Rooms are comfortable . They put in extra beds for my kids."

  "Averaged priced accommodation for the business traveller. Room was well appointed with all relevant comforts (well working aircon), including tea, coffee and free soft drinks. Would have expected a little more from the R70 breakfast, especially good coffee (only instant). However, well worth it at the asking price."

  "I travel a lot as a sports photographer, and by preference always stay in guest houses. I must have stayed in hundreds of them in the last few years but have never previously felt the need to compliment one.Lapalosa Lodge went so far above what I normally receive, or even expect to receive, that it would be unfair not to give them a very large and well deserved pat on the back.And it's not major things that score them points either, but like most things in life, its the little touches and attention to detail that matter. 1: Enough coffee making amenities for 4 cups (2 of them decaf no less) instead of the usual 2. In addition there were ingredients for tea and hot chocolate if Id preferred.2: A small packet of rusks to nibble on.3: A little bowl of sweets. (Yes please)4: 2 colddrinks and 2 bottles of water in the fridge. Yours free to enjoy at no charge. I confess that I cleaned it out.5: An electricity power strip (a super important item this one) to plug in laptops, chargers, I-pads etc. Most guest houses have you desperately scrambling behind the bed to find where the bedside light is plugged, so you can steal some power.6: Soap and shampoo in proper dispensers. No silly little bars of soap and small bottles of chemicals at Lapalosa.7: A heated towel rail, so important during those freezing cold Gauteng winter nights.8: A hair dryer. I didnt use it but it still struck me as being a great touch.All in all 5 stars for Lapalosa Lodge."
