  "I booked 2 units, the house and another unit for my Reverend and his group of men from my church, I thank Marietjie for accomadatinf us but the Mount Park has become so run down. It was cleaned, so dusty. The units are looking old. Maintenance is not upito date. Not being actioned weekly. The bedroom window didnt have a seal, so all that cold air just blew in. Hwne temperatures were so cold. Very uncomfortable for us to stay in. Not happy custormer"

  "Loved the secluded cottage, bird's singing, good hikes. Could improve the shower with a new shower head. Kitchen can improve with a tap that is a mixer, and the same for the basin. Let us know in advance what is supplied so that we can make arrangements for the rest. e.g. blankets for winter, toilet paper and soap. These used to be basic in all other accommodation that I booked. Frying pan is not hygienic. Too many spiders in the toilet."

  "We stayed in one of the wooden cabins, which was perfectly equipped for a weekend away. The stoep overlooks a beautiful stream and the forest beyond it. The owners are wonderfully friendly and helpful and we had delicious food for supper from the restaurant. Will definitely be back."

  "Mount Park is a peaceful, family friendly getaway in the beautiful Dargle valley. Our cabin was cosy with trickling streams and pretty flowers on all sides, a perfect place to lie with a good book listening to the rain pattering in the evening. Our children had great fun on the kayaks and canoes on the dam, fishing and climbing the enormous old oak tree. We all enjoyed the numerous hikes ranging from easy to quite challenging all the way to the summit! My eleven year old even commented 'this is even better than Ushaka!' High praise indeed! With our friendly, helpful hosts adding to the ambience, we had a very enjoyable stay."

  "We camped with our kids for 2 nights. Awesome for kids!!! So much to do for young and old!!! We enjoyed some time at the dam, the kids enjoyed swimming with the tubes. Jungle gym area too . Camp sites are spacious and all have stream frontage. Very peaceful water noise throughout the camp site area. Ablutions were clean. The trails up the mountain are brilliant. I hiked easier routes with the kids, my husband did a trail run to the top of the mountain. Lots of trails to choose from. They are busy making new camp sites with a new bigger ablution."

  "What a brilliant time I had. The guest farm is in a beautiful location. The cam pinging sites are lovely though do need leveling a bit. Ablutions are neat and tidy and clean. The farm is being extended and upgraded with no disruption. The best are the owners who had to rescue me one evening when I got lost and ran out of petroleum in my scooter. There are hiking trails, maps supplied at reception. Pre prepared frozen meals are available (including vegetarian). You can arrange breakfast and coffee. A lot of thought has been put into supplying comforts as shops are not very close."

  "All in all the hospitality, staff and condition of unit was good. Enjoyed the friendly hospitality of the owners especially and the overall cleanliness of the bathrooms and unit. If anything outside light of caravan not working which led to a nasty encounter with a table in the middle of the night. This is easyily fixed. Otherwise in the caravan, the open gap between fridge and floor could be closed up to make it a little more pleasing to the eye. I would reccomend Mount Park Guest Farm to anyone looking to get away from it all and experience tranquility like never before."

  "So many lovely things about Mount Park:<br />&nbsp;Beautiful well-kept gardens and relaxed peaceful atmosphere.<br />&nbsp;Stunning forest walks complete with little bridges over the mountain streams!<br />We stayed in the lovely one-bedroomed Rose cottage furnished with a comfortable king bed, and soft percale linen. Our girls used the sleeper in the lounge. The units are very reasonably priced and great value for money.<br />Super clean and serviced almost daily. The little kitchen had everything we needed. <br />We received a warm welcome from Marietjie, the manageress, and she was kind enough to post my tablet to me after I had left it behind at the cottage. <br />We did not have views of the mountains from our unit, but were surrounded by the pretty garden. There is a little dam with some row boats and braai facilities and the views from there are gorgeous! A jungle gym would have been nice as my 7yr old loves them, but we were out and about on the Midlands meander during the day. Be prepared to travel the 30km to and from Mount Park to visit the popular Nottingham road and Midlands Meander attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our six nights here! Thank you!<br />"

  "<p>We found it easily from the directions. A 10km ride on a dirt road led us there. It is a very tranquil area, with a brook running down to the dam. The facilities were fine, with coffee/tea and soaps provided. </p><p>Slight issues figuring out the aircon and hot water, but all ended well with the hosts more than willing to assist. </p><p>Braai facilities and firewood available. </p><p>Great for hiking.</p>"

  "We would like to thank Marietjie at Mount Park Guest Farm for all that she did for us this April Easter hols - we are from Cape Town and were there to celebrate my parents'50th wedding anniversary and to spend time with my brother's wife and twin children who live in New Zealand. We camped but it decided to rain most of the week we were there! We got soaked and muddy and Marietjie allowed us to spend one night in the lounge and then she allowed us accommodation for no extra cost in the delightful historical Yellowwood Cottage! What a pleasure! We had the best of it all - camping and a cottage.<br />Mount Park is a beautiful Midlands farm in the mistbelt and next to pristine indigenous forests and grasslands. We saw Wattled Cranes and plenty of birds and enjoyed the trails in the forests and up the mountains.   "We stayed in one of the cabins and we loved it! Will certainly go back. Mount Park Guest Farm may be an operational farm (I'm not sure if it is) but for accommodation it certainly is a little gem in the mountains. The cabins are well kitted out with a kettle, fridge, microwave, small oven and most cooking utensils. There's also air conditioning. The kitchen and bedroom are one cosy room with a couch, there's a small bathroom with a shower. Walking trails are on your doorstep."

  "It's a beautiful farm. We stayed in the Yellowood Cottage. The kitchen was very well equipped. The bedroom is too small to comfortably accommodate 4 persons though, so we moved the children to the sleeper couch in the lounge. I doubt 6 people would be able to fit in the cottage. Given the beautiful surroundings though, I was disappointed in the way the cottage was furnished. A little more attention to the inside aesthetics would go a long way in improving one's experience."

  "We we're booked for 4 days of camping - At arrival the weather was extremely unpleasant (3 days of constant rain), to which the manager Marietjie proposed we stay in one of their cabins at NO extra cost! I have never come across such friendly and exceptional service. The ablutions were extremely neat and tidy, and all areas (camping grounds, cabins etc.) are really well looked after.This was certainly one of the most beautiful sites I've visited and will certainly be returning in the near future!Thanks again Marietjie! - your hospitality was greatly appreciated."

  "My daughter and I stayed for the weekend of the 9th, 10th February for the Midmar Mile swimming competition. We found Mount Park quite, peaceful and just what we were looking for. We would recommend it for that quiet weekend getaway or as a base for touring around that area. One word of warning though, the dirt road to get there. It is perfectly driveable in dry weather but go with caution in the rainy season."

  "The campsite and staff at the resort were of a high standard. The weather conspired against us but the staff suggested that for the particularly cold, wet and windy night that we stay in the chalets at no extra cost. The campsites are a generous size and are fully grassed - the best I have seen in some time. I would recommend that this is worth a visit."

  "Both my partner and I spent a few days at Mount Park in December 2010. It was extremely beautiful. The Cottage was neat with a lovely garden. Perfect getaway fro any couple who wants complete solitude and a one on one experience with nature. To add to this romantic getaway we experienced a hail storm which caused a black out and off course that led to candlelight and other activities. Could not get any more perfect then that!"
