"Awesome host. Comfortable stay. Lovely breakfast. Nothing to improve."
"Lovely room, but fantastic breakfast!"
"Hostess was excellent, would definitely go back again soon hopefully."
"The room is roomyl, clean, and has all you need. Breakfast brilliant, hostess Pat is delightful. Highly recommend."
"We had a wonderful stay, very comfortable clean room. Absolutely spoilt for breakfast, walking distance to main road for dinner options. Pat was the perfect hostess! Highly recommend staying over for a weekend. We will be back!"
"Good value for money. Pat is an extremely helpful hostess and her breakfasts were very good with a nice spread. If in that area I will definitely stay there again."
"We were warmly welcomed to Strathnaver B&B by our hostess, Pat McKay. Pat's house is one of the earliest Victorian houses in Darling and our accommodation was in a garden cottage close to the main house. The bedroom was comfortably furnished and we appreciated the additional homely touches of two comfortable chairs and a full tea tray including home-made biscuits. The en suite shower was perfectly adequate. The cottage has a covered verandah where we could sit and watch the many birds in the delightful garden or just relax and read or talk to the three cats!<br />Breakfasts were a treat as Pat is a good cook, so each morning there was a different start to our day.<br />Pat gave us a lot of information about Darling and even managed to get us tickets to the "Voorkamerfest", which we thoroughly enjoyed. <br />Darling is very well placed for visits to the West Coast National Park, and there are wine estates and olives estates close by.<br />We arrived at Strathnaver as guests but said "Good-bye" to a friend.<br /><br />"
"Strathnaver is a delightful B&B in one of the first Victorian cottages built in Darling.<br />We were warmly welcomed by our hostess Pat McKay and settled very comfortably into the cottage adjacent to her small house. <br />The room was comfortably furnished with a homely touch of two easy chairs and a full tea tray, including home made biscuits. <br />The breakfasts were delicious as Pat enjoys cooking and each morning we had something a little different to try. <br />Pat is a generous hostess. She gave us information about Darling and even managed to procure last-minute tickets for the "Voorkamer Fest", which we thoroughly enjoyed.<br />We arrived at Strathnaver as guests and left feeling we had made a friend.<br />"
"Our Cottage was pleasant but the steps at the main entrance had no hand rail and were very difficult for my husband and myself who are elderly and not very steady on our feet. Our Hostess was quite sharp with us when we complained saying that she would not have taken our booking if she had known that we could not do stairs! We were shown an alternative entrance which was marginally better. Our hostess did give us a nice breakfast."
"Aangename gasvrou Pat het ons dadelik laat tuisvoel. Stilte van die tuinomgewing was salig na 'n lang dag se reis. Baie warm gekry en het 'n goeie verkoeler gemis asook verkoelingsgeriewe. Heerlike ontbyt geniet!"
