The Roundhouse B & B

The 4 star Roundhouse B &B is situated in De Kelders, prime whale-watching area. The Roundhouse is a three-storey round building with a thatched roof. The house has a very modern African feel to it and every care has been taken to assure your complete relaxation and comfort.

The house has features such as a big projector-screen television in the bar area and wireless hot spot Internet connectivity throughout the house. The suites, which each consists of a bedroom, a living room and a bathroom, have all the little extras such as microwaves, toasters, coffee and tea-making facilities, minibars, TVs, DVD players, stereos, hairdryers, sewing kits, first aid kits, toiletries and more.

Our breakfast menu includes delicious meals such as a full English breakfast, pancakes, health breakfast and the ever-popular continental. We do room service every day and offer laundry services as well.

The owners of The Roundhouse are also the owners of the local tourist centre in Gansbaai itself, called The Great White Adventure Centre. This means that we can professionally and easily assist you in booking any type of activity during your stay here.

"Peaceful coastal getaway"

"Lovely clean room but twin bed option not provided as requested. However, individual duvets were offered on request. Ice was also provided when requested as none in bar fridge. And given a bowl of just-baked chocolate chip cookies as a gift too. Totally peaceful although the plots around the Roundhouse are now more developed than it would appear from pictures. Views better than anticipated as not on seafront, but well elevated. Good choice of breakfast options. As 2 sisters travelling together, we experienced the area as very safe although we often found ourselves alone on deserted stretches of beach/ coastline. Much less commercial and quieter than Hermanus. A lovely getaway. Will definitely be back in the whale watching season! <br />"

"Really good location. Service was very good. If planning shark diving you will need to be flexible with your dates as weather does play a part in whether the boats can launch. Local quad riding is a must for teenagers and adults."

"Dave and the team were so welcoming and hospitable, they really made one feel at home. The Roundhouse is beautifully designed with very spacious units and had all the amenities. The units are so comfy, makes you want to sleep in. Awesome, awesome place and great breakfast."
