Whale Cottage

Whale Cottage is a beautiful and peaceful house situated on the edge of the cliffs bordering the Walker Bay Nature Reserve in De Kelders. Stunning sunsets are enjoyed all year round as well as whale watching from September to late November. Whales can be seen from within metres of the rocks that line the edges of kelp beds along the coastline.

The house has splendid views over the ocean and features four bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is a fully equipped kitchen, a TV room downstairs with DStv, a second lounge area leading onto the terrace upstairs and a braai area. This is definitely the place to come and unwind, take walks through the nature reserve and on the beach, or simply to enjoy life and the beauty of this lovely location.

The little village of De Kelders, which lies just five kilometres north of Gansbaai and a 25-minute drive from Hermanus, is a fishing village famous for its seafood. The coast here has one of the most unusual and distinctive geological features in the form of a series of underground caves beneath the cliffs.
