  • "Excellent value getaway"

    27 September 2021

"There was nothing to improve, everything was perfect...especially the welcome and excellent service by Ansley who made us feel comfortable and at home instantly. A gem of a boutique guesthouse in Hermanus"

  • "Whales right there"

    23 September 2021

"From Abalone Guest Lodge you have direct access to the cliff path and Sievers Point is probably the best place to view the whales. At least one whale was visible from our balcony all the time. Room 6 is the best room as being a corner unit you can see the sea in 2 directions (even from the bathroom). Breakfasts were excellent and the bed was very comfortable. Ansley and the rest of the staff are very welcoming."

  • "Excellent Customer Service to be found at Abalone Guest Lodge"

    07 February 2013

"We arrived early in the evening to Abalone and were welcomed by Otillia, who gave us a delicious glass of wine on the terrace for sunset. She was very helpful with organising dinner in a restaurant in town, including transport to the restaurant. Overall the B&B is very comfortable and breakfast was delicious. The views and walks just out the back of the lodge are stunning and I was sorry we could not stay longer!"
