  "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stemar self catering Guest House.<br/>The rooms were beautifully clean and had everything we needed.<br/>Our room was tastefully decorated in lilac ... home from home.<br/>The bed was comfortable, wifi was welcoming and we could sit on the patio and enjoy the sunbirds swimming in the fountain.<br/>The aircon gave respite from the heat and we had a fridge in the kitchenette for our shopping.<br/>The parking is safe and there was high clearance for our loaded bakkie.<br/> Welcoming hosts,lovely historical buildings in town and the best Karoo roast lamb I have ever had . Wish I could have stayed longer"

Our room was spotless clean and the kitchenette had everything we required.The guesthouse is in a very quiet area but within walking distance of all the town's amenities and some nice restaurants. Our hosts were friendly but not overbearing. The car parking was off street and secure."

  "One of the best self-catering experiences we have had (amongst many). Remarkably clean and tidy and very well-appointed room (Unit 3). Really spacious shower (I am 1.83m so I need this) and hot water on demand. AC / heating also in the room. My wife and I have to go back to Graaff Reinet in a month or two and we will definitely book in there again. Large, secure off-street parking."

  "In life, you normally get what you pay for, but at Stemar you get much more than you pay for. The rooms were well equipped, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Stephen and Mariet were great hosts. The free wifi access was a great plus. I've stayed at a number of places in Graaff Reinet, but this is the one I'll go back to."

  "Everything was clean, neat and tidy! We could not fault the unit in any way! However, we were on a motorbike and it was raining heavily. I would've liked the "shade net" carports to be of a more permanent "dry" parking area, especially for bikers!"

  "Absolutely wonderful and affordable experience. The room had been cooled down for our arrival. It was 37 degrees that day. Our room had everything one needs for a short stay and is a 10-minute walk to the center of town or 5 minutes to the scenic dam. We will definitely use Stemar again. Even the dog is friendly!"
