Langholm Lodge

Langholm Lodge is the ideal bush getaway, situated along the R67, between Grahamstown and Bathurst. Come stay for a day, a week, as long as you please, you may just never want to leave. Offering rustic accommodation in a secluded setting, each wooden cabin has an en-suite bathroom and enjoys uninterrupted views of the bush and birdlife.

The country-themed restaurant is the ideal venue for breakfast and lunch, serving wholesome and healthy meals. The bar, known as Kaya Lo Moya, has a township shabeen theme, which in itself is quiet the experience and is the place to be for all sporting events and private functions. Afterwards, you may find yourself drifting towards the bonfire at the boma.

Langholm Lodge is an affordable getaway and a unique bush experience for the whole family, corporate client, group or budget traveller.

  • "Nice"

    10 July 2013

"The estate was undergoing renovations which are due to be completed by Sep '13 but the management were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. Awesome breakfast. 30 kms from Grahamstown so peaceful."

  • "Incorrectly advertised"

    17 April 2013

"The guesthouse is 30km from Grahamstown, the website says 4.7km. This was such an inconvenience that we cancelled our second night and booked elsewhere. There were not enough blankets and we got very cold. The bathroom mirror was cloudy/dirty there was no space for clothes. The host did not know who we booked through or whether we still owed anything. The chalets are not secluded and did not provide a "bush experience"."

  • "Chaos"

    10 March 2013

"The new owner did his best to sort things out and in the end we were comfortable. On arrival he was unaware of the booking and they were closed for renovations. The safarinow page also indicates that it is 4.7 Km from Grahamstown, when it is actually 30km. This was rather inconvenient as we were attending to business in Grahamstown. I think that once renovations are complete it would be worth a visit."
