Gaffer's Cottage

Gaffers Cottage is a historic Cape cottage set in a quiet cul-de-sac, in the exclusive area of Higgovale, within the inner city of Cape Town. The cottage is north facing, ensuring plenty of sun and natural light. Fully-equipped, it has been newly renovated without compromising its original character.

Furnishings are done in neutral and natural tones. The two bedrooms are both en-suite with white quality cotton linen and towels. The bathroom to the main bedroom has a bath, toilet and basin, whilst the second bathroom has a shower, toilet and basin. Enjoy the tranquility of this leafy environment on the slopes of the majestic Table Mountain, with Lions Head to the left and views of Table Bay and the city from the north facing faade. The location is a few minutes walk from the many trendy and popular restaurants and eateries of vibrant Upper Kloof Street.

Gaffer's Cottage is ideally situated for easy access to all that Cape Town has to offer, from the cable car or the Camps Bay and Clifton beaches, to the V & A Waterfront or the city centre. It is also an easy drive to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, the Cape Winelands and golf courses.

Enjoy the airy, high ceilings in the comfort of the tastefully furnished interiors. Make the most of alfresco living on the spacious verandah, which leads from the lounge, or in the lush courtyard which is ideal for a barbecue. Order takeout from the variety of cuisines the area has to offer, or prepare your own meal in the well-equipped, modern kitchen. During the chilly winter months, the Morso fireplace and underfloor heating will keep you warm.

Delis, convenience stores, supermarkets, laundromats and Kloof Streets many quirky shops are within walking distance. The cottage is serviced once a week, whilst more regular servicing is available by arrangement. Servicing includes changing of linen and towels, as well as a cleanup every four days.
