"Vey disappointing - lodge very tired and desperately lacking in management, though the lodge staff are very friendly and try their best under the circumstances."
"I was highly dissapointed with my stay at bushlands.... the staff was very confused with our information. I advised them that we are 2 couples but they had given us a room with 2 single beds. When i went to the front desk to query this they could not help me... the receptionist had phoned the manager to speak to us and she refused to speak to us and hung up. We were then adamant to speak to the manager and requested the receptionist to call the manager as we want to speak to her, she then called a guy to come speak to us, whilst speaking to him thinking he was the manager he tells us he is the game ranger and he cannot help us. He asked us to come back in the morning. After breakfast we went back to the front desk to speak to the manager. We met the manager tracy who told us unfortunately we cannot get a double bed as everything is booked out. She then speaks about the balance we have to pay. The balance was incorrect to us and we told her we have a R250 voucher from safari now which we used. She got very defensive and spoke very arrogantly saying she is not aware of any voucher and we need to pay the amount she has. This was very embarassing and she was very persistant and had no service skills. She could not even say she would speak to safari now and find out... i then had to ask her if she could please call safari now and find out from them and left. The staff had told us that dinner is from 7pm to 9pm so on saturday we went to dinner and 8:30pm and we find out that dinner is closed and they tell us that they thought we were not comming... but they did not have the courtesy to call us and find out if we were comming or not .... we were completely shocked and embarassed as all the other tourist were looking at us and noticing what was happening. When speaking to the staff they had no service skills but instead chose to give us attitude and roll their eyes at us. We had a very embarrassing and disappointing stay at bushlands. I will not recommend anyone to stay at this place and will never book this resort ever again."

"We spent a lovely 3 nights. The accommodation is comfortable, our cabin was very private and peaceful, and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Thank you to Thobile, Karen, Fikile and especially Nelly for making our stay so special."
