"Patrick and Helen are suburb hosts at this lovely Lodge. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Everything is perfectly maintained and the lush garden adds to the relaxing environment. We enjoyed the pool, French bowls and private bar. The self catering garden cottage we stayed in, was the best spot on the premises - private, but not far from the fun. We thought that the breakfast menu could include more warm foods like bacon and freshly grilled eggs. Anneen, Petrus, Emilie and San."

"We ordered one night and stayed for 3. 2 adults and 3 kids - we had two rooms with private connecting corridor . The place is lovely . The design is amazing. The hosts where friendly and very helpful. We fully recommend !!!"

"We, a group of 5 adults all over the age of 50, can thoroughly recommend Stannards Guest Lodge as a base for travelling around the Knysna area of South Africa. After a wonderul breakfast, we either went out for the day or spent some time by the pool (which was rather chilly). Michael made us feel very welcome and we would definately stay there again if we were in the area."

The rooms are lovely, garden, pool and terrace invite one to rest and relax. "We had a ball. Michael was an extremely friendly host. He introduced himself, showed us around and made us feel at home from the word go. Our room was perfectly arranged from having fresh clean linen to milk for our coffee. We loved the personal touches - having headaches ills, sanituary pads and earbuds - a first!!!Mosquitos were an issue...but we had Peaceful Sleep which was provided and you could get mats for the insect repellent - very smart!!!Breakfast was fresh and YUMMY! Loved the special attention yet again....guests were friendly too;-)Overall - we will be back! "
