  "I cannot write a review because although I made a booking through travelstar and paid half of the fees as a deposit, when we arrive at the venue we were informed that the owner is not available and the manager was aware of the booking. The venue was fully booked. This left us in the cold and we have to look for alternative accommodation at 18.00 on a Friday night in Pretoria !! I am not sure who is responsible for this (travelstar or Jansen House), but find it very unprofessional to say the least. I would like get an explanation and my deposit refunded ! Therefore the following review:"

  "<p>What a wonderful experience , home away from home is the experience we as a couple shared on our weekend away .The large garden cottage with a private garden was fully equipped and beautifully decorated with a king size bed ,making it a room for royalty. We were welcomed with hot and cold breakfast byCarin in the old wooden floor dining room complimented with a glass chandelier.</p><p>The Jansen housealso bears rich history of the renowned late Dr. E.G Jansen.</p><p>Wehada unforgettable weekend away and felt at home at the Jansen house. We would just like to thank the Jansen team for making it a weekend and experience not to forget.</p><p>We will definitelyreturn for more relaxing experiences.</p><p>Etienne &amp; Liezl.</p>"

  "This is a very peaceful place to stay, almost too peaceful, in fact: there doesn't seem to be much activity in the main house, which, externally, is obviously in need of some TLC. I suspect that the owner is not in residence but leaves it in the capable hands of the manageress, Jemma, who was kindness itself. Room was large and comfortably appointed though lacking an armchair. There was also a very visible cigarette or other burn in the carpet next to the bed. Pity. Useful little kitchenette with fridge. Nicely appointed bathroom with loads of hot water, which was a blessing as it was minus something at night and in the early morning when I was there."

  "In the lovely village of Irene (Centurion) these people know the true meaning of charm. Situated on landscaped gardens and private courts you feel king of this castle. Clean, modernly renovated, combined with staff that really go the extra mile this will be a designated stop every time you are in the area. Scrumptious breakfasts with place settings set for royalty and the elite truly gives a feeling of luxury and stature, with rates common folk can afford. Within walking distance to golf course and a working dairy farm something to do list is started. A short 5 minute drive to shops, banks and eateries. Truly a must stay!"
