Vertel Van My

Vertel Van My offers comfortable accommodation situated in Kathu, the iron ore capital of the Northern Cape Province.

There are 12 en-suite rooms in total, all with three-quarter beds and air-conditioning. The rooms are equipped with bar fridges and TVs with selected DStv channels. Tea and coffee facilities with biscuits and yoghurt are provided daily.

The Camel Thorn Tree Acacia erioloba forest is one of only two in the world, with the other being between Mariental and Rehoboth in Namibia. Kathu has a beautiful golf course and a well-established sporting complex with a swimming pool and tennis courts.

    "Friendly and helpful. Clean and comfortable. No signage, a bit difficult to find. Shower tap Hot / Cold indicator on the wrong way. Kitchenette faucet loose. Loved the fat pig that thinks its a dog!"
