Ikaia River Lodge

Escape to Ikaia River Lodge, a fisherman and nature lover's paradise, where you can relax near Keimoes - the jewel of the Northern Cape. We are situated a comfortable 40 km from Upington, on the main road between Keimoes and Cape Town. We are conveniently located close to the national route to Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, Augrabies Falls National Park, Riemvasmaak, Namaqualand, Upington, Namibia, Kenhardt, Johannesburg, and Bloemfontein.

Accommodation comprises two double en-suite rooms with double beds and four double en-suite rooms with a self-catering kitchenette and private barbecue facilities. All units are equipped with air-conditioners and are designed with style and elegance to make you feel at home.

Keimoes has a population of less than 10,000. The village is located on an island in the Gariep Orange River, roughly 45 km south west from Upington and 40 km east from Kakamas. The environment is arid, but due to irrigation from the Gariep River, the town is very green.

"We had a warm welcome from the owner and daughter Nicole. Lovely, comfortable room. Would definitely recommend Ikaia as a stopover to the Northern Cape ....a short distance out of Upington but well worth the drive. Kids would love the buck, bunnies and more."
