  "When we arrived at The Blue Orchid we found a for sale sign outside the house. We were not told the house is for sale. All the steep steps leading up to the house was quite a challenge - no one told us about all these step. I had an elderly friend from Canada visiting SA and she really battled up and down these steps. The house was dusty and felt like it had not been cleaned for days. The oven was disgustingly dirty looked like it had never been cleaned. We actually couldn't cook in the oven. The couches in the lounge were very uncomfortable to sit on. The place is dark and dingy. The only nice thing was the views. I most certainly will not be going back. I think the owner may have lost interest in the house and that is why it is up for sale. A definite no no."

  "My partner and I went to stay there for the weekend and had nothing to complain about! The house is beautiful inside and out, and we had the most beautiful view of the Harties Dam. Wanted to stay longer! Would definitely go stay there again!"

  "A wonderful stay. Safe, clean, comfortable, spacious. They surprised us with a bottle of Sparkling Wine and a box of chocolates for our Wedding Anniversary. I would recommend a stay here for anyone. Great self-catering place and close to attractions like Van Gaalan Cheese Farm."
