Old - fashioned wood burning Dover stove fireplace
Electric blanket and heater in winter
Cosy sitting area with good lighting
A well - equipped kitchenette with microwave and stove with oven
Bathroom with bath but no shower
A sheltered outdoor in the garden with hot water is available for guest use
No TV but a goo CD player with a selection of CD's
Free Wi - fi available
Shady nooks in the garden for relaxing, reading or some entertaining bird watching
Swimming pool
There is no shortage of places to visit in and around McGregor. however if complete rest is the order of the day, stay in and braai in the secluded open braai area, or weber on the patio. (Please bring your own charcoal or briquettes)
Please note that if you are self - catering, it is recommended that you shop before arriving in McGregor. Alternatively, quality deli products, home bakes, and frozen meals are available during normal business hours from Made in McGregor and 51 in the village

"What an inspired choice Karoo Cottage turned out to be for our first trip to the sleepy hamlet of McGregor! We arrived in pouring rain and left two days later in glorious sunshine, but in both conditions Karoo Cottage proved to be just perfect! It is immaculate and beautifully appointed with a very comfortable bed and has access to a braai area and the stunning garden that the hosts have lovingly created outside their main home. Hosts, Rob and Cher are lovely people who are very attentive and helpful, without being intrusive. Whenever we return to McGregor, Karoo Cottage will definitely be top of our list to stay again! "

"Rob and Cher are the perfect hosts at Karoo Cottage. They did everything possible to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable. Guests have access to a delightful garden with braai area and pool. The room itself has everything you need. The kitchen has more items for use than I have ever encountered in a self-catering facility. The Karoo Cottage is 5 - 10 minute walk away from almost everything you would possibly want to do in McGregor. We will certainly return.  "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at Karoo Cottage. The cottage was immaculately clean and is more than fully equipped for self - catering. The extra touches makes the stay even more special. We enjoyed the tranquillity of the garden and the beautiful surroundings. "Karoo Cottage in McGregor was such a pleasure to stay in. It is central and you can walk to almost anywhere in the town. My husband took part in the MTB race Ride2Nowhere and the location was perfect, off the main road.Garden was wonderfully tranquil with such beautiful bird life and welcome silence. The Temenos Restreat Centre is just a block away and such a blessing to visit. Cher and Rob were wonderful hosts and we will definitely be back!Zuzanka."
