  "The first room we got was horrible; the bed faced onto the opposite units, curtains didn't close properly so light came through from the opposite building! We asked Gideon to please let us upgrade our room but I was told he couldn't do anything. We ordered room service; the steak was off. I called them to come fetch it, I wasn't refunded. In the morning we got upgraded for an extra R300. It was my daughters wedding so the groom and his guys came to get ready in my room. We asked for extra towels but were told only four per room as it costs money to wash them! After the wedding we requested dry towels from reception and were told there were no clean or dry towels and we need to wait till the morning! What a bad experience."

  "We had a lovely family holiday at Lagoon Beach Apartments. The location is ideal for visiting most CT tourist attractions. The lagoon and beach (no lifesavers) is wonderful for small kids if there is not wind."

  "The view is excellent and the beach is on your doorstep. However, there are too few loungers at both pools making it difficult to spend a long time there. There is only one fan in the entire apartment (main bedroom). These apartments require air conditioning or more fans. The pictures on Safari Now must be updated to show the front line apartments and not the three executive suites that are unavailable."

  "We stayed at Sunstays for 5 nights and we had a fantastic time, the view is second to none, rooms are clean and well maintained. We forgot a pair of shoes and when we phoned they quickly recovered it and sent it to us. Very happy with the service."

  "I recently enjoyed a six day vacation in Cape Town. We checked into Sunstays Lagoon Beach Apartments and were immediately greeted by friendly staff. The apartments are well equipped for any family requirements. Anything that may be missing is easily arranged by the friendly staff. My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The best part of our stay was being right on the beach, a stone's throw away."

  "Completely enjoyed the accommodation and environment. Plusses for us: direct access to the beach; falling asleep to the sound of the sea; protected from the wind by the hotel; fabulous sea view; green grass outside the patio door for the little one to play on; security; secure parking (which we did not use); easy access to the city/V&A/green point area via N1 and also easy access to winelands of Stellenbosch and Paarl. Near Century City Shopping mall. Access to West Coats beaches.The area is a hidden Gem! Access, views, beach all excellent.The attached Wang Thai with its Thai chefs was an unexpected surprise. Sushi takeaways on our patio watching the moon rise with a glass of Durbanville Hills Sav Blanc in hand should be experience at least once before you die (same with the tomato tart at the Savoy Cabbage and the venison bobotie at Moyo at Spier.)Negatives: Some. Cleaning service was mediocre at best. For the two week stay, we should have had a washing machine, rather than a dish washer. The hotel internet was frequently down and slow, but they were upgrading the system as we left.It is a windy beach. Sand blows around a lot. The apartments are well protected though.Sunstays are attentive and responsive to daily comments and complaints.All in all a totally satisfying experience from finding Safari Now on-line to paying the final invoice on the day we left.Thank you so much.Emile Coetzee - who returned for the first time in ten years from sailing the seven seas."
