  "We stayed for one night in this beautiful establishment. Old yellow wood floors, high ceilings and antique furniture. Received friendly and with a glass of local muskadel. Walking distance from town and great restaurants. The breakfast was amazing!!"

  "We had a relaxing stay here after a long drive. We chilled in the garden and the swimming pool. The owner was helpful in recommending and booking restaurant for us and provided a lovely breakfast before we left."

  "After a long journey from Gauteng it was great to receive such a warm welcome. The room was spotlessly clean and freshly made up. No frills and fancies but down to earth and most welcoming. Dinner reservations were organised for me by the manageress who was most informative on the available restaurants in the vicinity. Breakfast was hearty and wholesome with fresh flowers gracing the table. I was also treated to local produce of Montagu. The informal atmosphere made me feel very much at home! Thanks to all the staff who made my overnight stay so pleasant."

  "A warm welcome and the room was ready and clean. A bit more attention to travellers detailed needs would make this stay much more enjoyable. Nowhere near the bed to plug in cell phone for recharging an alarm. Kettle can only be placed on the floor to boil. No soap holder or shower shelf in the the shower besides a very high window cill. I was travelling with a small grand daughter. Dangerous slippy steps to shower, no hand rail and only every second step has a non slip mat. Toiletries seem a bit mean, only a pump action soap dispenser. The breakfast table was extremely badly appointed. We had two half laid places besides our two, although we were the first to be seated at that table. My cutlery setting for a cooked breakfast consisted of a bread knife and a fish fork. A spoon for my fruit had to be gathered from another table. No salt and pepper on the table. The breakfast plates were glass fish plates. As a result I thought that it was not good value for money and a pity as with a little effort and investment it could be."

  "Thanks for the welcome and all the information we needed and booking our table at Ye Olde Tavern, great recommendation. the room was lovely, everything we needed. Pity we only stayed 1 night however will definitely be back for more."

  "If you have ever wanted to stay to in a Victorian house, this is the place to be. The room was very nicely decorated and the bathroom offered even a jacuzzi. We felt very safe in the house and it was very quiet. Our host was very attentive and we got a big and delicious breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and can recommend this guesthouse."
