Surrounded by the Zwartkoppies hills, on the banks of the Crocodile River just half an hour from Johannesburg and Pretoria, rests Avianto - a European-inspired village that has established itself as creative stimulus for gorgeous wedding celebrations focused team-building conferences, glittering functions, and intimate getaways.
Avianto consists of our Village Hotel, the well-known Banquet Hall with its charming and beautiful non-denominational chapel, a magnificent ballroom, the Fireside Room for a more intimate function, and the state-of-the-art conference centres, comprising six separate conference rooms and a lounge.
The Hotel at Avianto is set slightly apart from the main function venues. The communal nature of the village is designed to connect people for the duration of their stay, not separate them into numbered cubicles filled with their escape mechanism of choice. The village, by design, makes each guest into an individual, living in a personal space with its own character and yet intrinsically part of a community.
"Cleanliness of the automans and chairs in the room - maybe they can be steam cleaned."
"Avianto is a stunning place. I loved everything about the place! Friendy staff, excellent service. I hope to go back soon. Rooms for Africa made the booking process easy and convenient."
"We had heard many great things about this venue but have to say the meal was very below standard. The two main course ordered were an espetada and an Indian butter chicken - they brought oxtail instead of the Espedata and insisted it was correct?? And the butter chicken was nothing like it should taste, no sambals and a very dry roti - even my local take away does a superb version of this dish.then the bill arrived with both the espedata and the oxtail being charged for. Having to have breakfast and check out by 10 am on a Sunday is very early and not part of the relaxing atmosphere we had hoped to experience. We felt this spoiled our experience of what could have been a lovely place to stay."
