  "I was excited to visit Chantilly based on the photos. But upon arrival the place looks run down. The room was quite lovely with a very comfy bed. The toilet was freshly used (based on the marks left) before my arrival. For the price per night, I expected more. And definitely breakfast as their posting said there is a restaurant on site. I had about 3 hours of sleep as there were people playing very loud music and talking very loudly the entire night; but there was no function. Upon checkout, I waited almost 20mins because the card machines battery was low. Not a great experience at all."

  "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chantilly. The chalet is completely free standing and private and fully equipped for all our self-catering needs. We were so pleasantly surprised at the sparkling wine and rose petals on the bed at our arrival. We also truly enjoyed the jacuzzi bath and outdoor shower as well as the fact that breakfast could be served right at your chalet. We would have preferred though that our bath towels be replaced at least once during our stay and our coffee and tea facilities weren't refilled. The curtains are also quite heavily stained as well as some upholstery in the room. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and would visit again."

  "We really enjoyed being surrounded by trees and bushes. There are no noises at night except for the singing frogs. There are two pea-hens with babies that come visit, as well as the peacock. Great hospitality provided by Chervon, she is a star! We were surprised and grateful for the free champagne, candles and rose petals set out for their Valentine's special."

  "I highly recommend Chantilly for anyone wanting a quiet getaway close to the good beaches & everything else! You get to stay in a super chic chalet, nestled in an indigenous forest, with peacocks & interesting birds as your visitors! All this while being caringly looked after by the most hospitable hosts, Giselle & Gavin Brown, who went out of their way to make my stay a most relaxing one. Thanks to them & the great staff. Loved the outdoor shower! I hope to return."

  "What an amazing resort. So stunning, peaceful and enjoyable. Incredible service and hospitality from the all staff especially Gavin, Giselle and Mr Rosati, made the stay that much better. Very impressed and would most definitely recommend it to everyone! Not only is it peaceful and relaxing but great bar and restaurant facilities allow for a good evening especially if there is rugby on. Loved it!"

  "Our stay at Chantilly was amazing. The staff were lovely, there are two beautiful dogs to welcome you and the room was everything we hoped it would be, plus more. The grounds the accommodation is located on is nice to walk around on and we watched the sunset from a bench on a hill behind our room. In the morning, there was a spa bath or tranquil outdoor shower to choose from. Such attention to detail with nice soaps, soft towels and comfy pillows. We will definitely be back next time we are in South Africa."
