Karoo-Palet is a beautiful and spacious self-catering house situated in Oudtshoorn. The oasis-like setting is in a fertile valley cupped by the Swartberg and Outeniqua mountain ranges. Enjoy the relaxed and friendly atmosphere offered in the town or at the various surrounding farms.
The house consists of three en-suite bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a TV room with selected DStv channels and an open-plan living area leading onto a large veranda with braai facilities and seating. There is a lovely swimming pool overlooking the beautiful Black Mountains and the veld. There is secure parking inside the property with your own remote control. Your host can arrange fun and interesting classes for bonsai trees on request.
Outdshoorn is a town with the most sunny days per year in the whole country, and dry winters. Shielded from the coastal belt by the mountain ranges, the Klein Karoo also enjoys many windless days. It is also a wonderful halfway stopover when traveling between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth, with the coastal town of George is about 56 km away. 11 January 2018"We arrived in 43 degree temperature, so the clean pool was so welcome and refreshing. The setting was amazing with excellent good quality facilities. Dcor was exceptional and squeaky clean. Air conditioners in the rooms were most enjoyable. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Would love to go back in the near future."

The owners are so friendly and have a lot of places to recommend if you are there for a bit of adventure. The facility is comfortable with the best mountain views from each room. 22 April 2014"We arrived at Karoo-Palet, a little apprehensive about staying in the town as we prefer the country, but we were soon put at ease. We received a warm welcome and the setting is wonderful with an uninterrupted view tor the Swartberg Mountains. The house has been built to make the most of the scenery. At the very edge of town it has more of a country feel than some of the country places we have previously stayed. We found ourselves so settled at the edge of a paradise that we often stayed in to enjoy the privilege. I would definitely recommend Karoo-Palet as more than a simple stopover, but a place to relax and enjoy too."
