18 on Douglas provides comfortable self-catering accommodation in the quaint seaside village of Pennington. The many trees in the area mean prolific bird life. It is only a short walk to the main beach, and there are other trails in the area including the indigenous Umdoni forest, which is also the venue for the weekly parkrun. Fishing is good, and there are several golf courses in the immediate area. NO DSTV please bring your own DSTV decoder should you require more than the free channels offered. Not a party venue.
Accommodation is offered in two self-catering units, one upstairs and one downstairs.
The Downstairs Unit sleeps up to four guests and comprises two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchenette and dining area.
The Upstairs Unit can sleep up to six guests and comprises three bedrooms, a large kitchen and living area, and a large balcony.

02 May 2018"Hi, our stay at 18 On Douglas was wonderful. The place was clean and comfortable. When you say home away from home, thats what 18 0n Douglas is. What was the best was, what we saw on the internet was exactly what we got when we arrived. We would be going there again, thats a certain. As for Deon he was great. Many thanks Deon for making our stay perfect."

04 December 2017"Last trip we stayed down stairs, this time we stayed in the 6 sleeper above apartment and what a treat. Our host was fantastic as always and always a pleasure seeing them. Modern features and well equipped for our one night sleep over. Next trip to the coast is in Feb and we are planning to stay a week, home away from home."

19 June 2017"Lovely unit downstairs. Very spacious, well enough for a family for a long stay. Clean and well maintained. A beautiful handmade quilt on the double bed. We only stayed one night.Hospitable and knowledgeable host Deon. In walking distance of the beach, parkrun and places to eat."

It is quiet close to the beach - a really nice walk past a supermarket (for ice cream :) <br/><br/>The tea & coffee, milk in the fridge and fruit bowl was a lovely surprise and much appreciated. <br/>The unit is spacious and well equipped and everything worked. <br/><br/>Thank you Dion- you are an excellent host and we had a super time on the South coast.<br/><br/>Trudy & family<br/>"
