Paddabult Guest Cottages

Situated on the historic Bloemendal farm, established by grant in 1674 by Governor Simon van der Stel and surrounded by lush vineyards with the imposing Boland mountains in the background, these beautifully designed hillside cottages provide a unique pastoral experience.

Equidistant from Franschoek, Paarl and Stellenbosch and only 45 minutes from Cape Town International Airport and the V&A Waterfront, yet far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city, Paddabult offers you total relaxation on a working citrus farm.

Our tastefully appointed cottages, each accommodates up to four people and consists of two bedrooms & one bathroom with a shower. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom features two single beds. The fully-equipped, open-plan kitchen and living room with TV has large sliding doors leading to an extensive patio with a built in barbecue facility, providing a breathtaking view of the farm and surrounding mountain ranges.

"Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and management.Janine and Jackie were wonderful.Tiny improvements - the road signage to the actual cottages does not exist. Visitors end up at Reception, which is signposted.Aircon in the bedroom would be nice"

"The Paddabult Cottages are perfect, it has everything you need to make you weekend stay enjoyable, from air-conditining, to a comfortable living space and a patio with a braai and an amazing view.We booked out two cottages, so we could attend the Bastille Festival in Franschoek and this venue truly exceeded our expectations.To add to this perfect venue, are the friendly staff and amazing host Janene. Without me realising it, I dropped a bankbag filled with money and I got a message from Janene to say they found it and will return it asap. How amazingly honest and refreshing is that!We will definitley be return for next years Bastille Festival!"

"I cannot recommend these cottages enough. It was superb; thecottages are well prepared and clean with little extras such as complimentary teaand coffee. Wood was also supplied for an intimate braai on the lovely patiooverlooking the beautiful farms. The cottages are spacious, safe andcomfortable with quality modern furnishings and a daily cleaning service, whichI thoroughly appreciated. Well-equipped and in close proximity to thewinelands. Our 5 year old enjoyed the open green grass and could run andexplore freely. We thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility of this accommodation.Relaxation and beauty at its best.
