Roodenburg House 1882

This lovely old house is set in the heart of leafy Rondebosch, in the shadow of Table Mountain. Roodenburg House was built in 1882, according to the Arts and Crafts style of architecture finding favour in Victorian England and its colonies. Roodenburg was its original name, named after the original allotment at this site to one of Jan Van Riebeeks "free burgers".

Roodenburg House offers five beautifully decorated en-suite bedrooms, all featuring a flat screen TV, ADSL, air-conditioning, personal safes, refreshment trays, and crisp percale linen. We also have a gym with lovely views of the park, a pool area with a landscaped garden, and very secure gated parking for guests.

Roodenburg House has the benefit of being centrally situated to all major tourist attractions, as well as the University of Cape Town, Bishops, and Rondebosch Boys, and is a mere eight-minute walk to the Newlands rugby and cricket grounds. Cape Town International Airport and the CBD are only a 15 minute drive from our door.
