  • "A very pleasant Game Farm experience."

    13 June 2018

"The walks, drives on your own with your people to see the animals and birds during the day and evening. At th time it was just to cold for "tubing" down the Groot Vis rivier running right past our accomodation. The staff are extremely helpful. Wood was provided and the stoep is a pleasant viepoint. The gas geyser may need a little attention in the one house, but I believe it will be sorted. It is VERY affordable for what you get in terms of game reserve experience."

  • "Just what we needed!"

    05 March 2017

"So peaceful and private, lovely view from our cottage deck to distant mountains and the Great Fish River below, which was in flood after recent heavy rains. Well equipped and nicely furnished cottage. The resident caretaker, Last, was welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. Unexpected bonus of self-drive abundant game viewing on almost treeless, fynbos veld in flower, with panoramic views and spectacular sunsets...we will definitely come back. We would have liked a more updated map of the reserve for our self-drives, and found the signposting to get to Wilgerfontein a bit lacking, but perhaps it's better kept a secret for our next visit!"

  • "Beautiful Setting"

    12 January 2017

"Thank you so much for a wonderful 2 day stay. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place for you! The accommodation was spotless and well equipped. We were also able to ride our bicycles around the extensive farm and saw a lot of game. We will certainly return."

  • "AMAZING SETTING"

    20 June 2016

"Despite the wonderful setting, we were extremely disappointed that we had NO warm water in our chalet and neitherdid our neighbours. It was middle of winter and below zero degrees and what we really needed after a long day travelling, was a nice hot shower. We were booked for two evenings but left after day one due to the above issue. Hopefully I will be reimbursed for day 2 as promised. We will go back should this problem be resolved"

  • "Fun, Relaxed and Breathtaking"

    12 January 2014

"It was one of the best stays we had in a very long time. Nice and private with friendly staff. The owners, Christo Els and Kevin Simon together with their wives were fantastic host. Kevin even brought me one of the local newspapers to read. The river tubing was amazing not to mention the breathtaking views of unending landscapes and game. I will never forget Christo's wise words "You can't buy a farm with your head, you have to buy it with your heart" Love it"
