West Coast Pat's Place

Pat's Place is a self-catering accommodation in St Helena Bay, where you can watch the sun rise and set on the bay. The accommodation is a stones throw from a very beautiful and tranquil beach, with balconies overlooking views of St Helena Bay.

The unit consists of two en-suite bedrooms and a fully equipped open-plan kitchen and lounge area, leading onto the balcony and braai area overlooking the indigenous garden. The unit sleeps a total of six guests comfortably in a double bed, two single beds and a sleeper couch. All linen and towels are provided, however beach towels are not supplied.

Pat's Place is situated on the Atlantic Ocean, with a most extraordinary coastline where the waters teem with marine life. Look out for the Southern Right whales, Heaviside dolphins, migratory birds from as far as Siberia, and thousands of Cape cormorants flying low over the bay at sunset.

Visit Sandy Bay harbour to buy fresh snoek in season. The tranquil waters are also perfect for kayaking and the pristine beaches can be explored for miles.

"Bad experience and misleadind advert"

"Bad experiece, four days before we was suppose to arrive, after paying deposit and the full amount, the owner told us we are not booked, after many phone calls it was confirmed. The flat was not properly cleaned, walls was dirty, braai was full of ass from previous people, potplant at front door had plastic bags in, cutlery, pots and pans was old and insuffient and the owner comes from her flat upstairs without even knocking! The flat was advertised as a 2 en-suite bedrooms but it was only 1 bedroom and a tv cabinet placed in livingroom to seperate so called second bedroom. We was very upset about this and feel it is fraud, at least misleading. Will advise any person to stay away from this pkace!"

"Pat's place was clean, spacious, and had lots of space outside for the children to play.<div>A few metres from the beach, so you could walk, smell the sea breeze and it offered a lovely view from both balcony's.</div><div>Very close to a spar, so if you've forgotten anything, no trek required!</div>"

"Spacious with a lovely sea view. Unfortunately, there are a few key elements that urgently need attention. The towels, linen and fleece blankets provided had long female hairs in and on it. The en-suite shower had the same 'problem'. The toaster still had the previous guests' bread crumbs in it and the crockery inside the cupboard had left overs stuck to it. The grid of the braai doesn't seem to have ever been cleaned and the empty packets of chips and sweets underneath the deck is a sight for sore eyes. Waking up to the smell of cigarette smoke from the house upstairs (flat and house are separated by a door only), when you are a strict non-smoker is a BIG no. Pat is a friendly hostess, but will have to resolve these issues ASAP to ensure happier clients."
