  "We spent two nights of quiet bliss at Goose Cottage. The cottage is well appointed,airy and beautifully furnished. The kitchen is well equipped: the toaster for breakfast and the coffee plunger scored full marks. Evenings spent reading and chatting on the stoep were a welcome break from the TV-watching pattern at home.<br /><br />The hosts are helpful and gracious.<br /><br />Stanford is a treasure trove of to-dos and we will definitely be back. <br />"

  "Our second stay at Goose Cottage and loved it even more this time as we stayed for two nights. Very relaxed peaceful cottage with a gorgeous stoep to sit and read, watch the stars or the storm passing over. The linen is crisp, the towels are fluffy and the shower is heavenly. Stunning place to stay, we'll definitely be back!"

  "We loved our stay at Goose Cottage! It is perfect for a quiet getaway into the countryside for two. The stoep overlooks a beautiful garden and the cottage has all the amenities that you need. Judi and Keith are very welcoming.The cottage is walking distance from the river and main road, where you will find the village shops and restaurants. We will certainly recommend it to our friends."

We did not really make use of the self catering as we were in Stanford for a wedding and were out most of the time.   "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Goose Cottage! What a wonderful, quiet and beautiful experience it was. The hospitality and service was wonderful! Milo was exceptionally cute - we fed him some of our bread and he looked like he wanted to stay with us the night. Hope he is not on any special diet as he ate three slices of parmesan twist bread. The view of your cottage & garden is beautiful and literally took our breath away. We would not hesitate to recommend your place to family and friends that have to pass through stanford. We will be back soon!"

  "We recently stayed for two nights at Goose Cottage and was very happy with the package. As students it was very affordable for what we got. The owners really run a great place and think of the small little details. They supply literally everything and the cottage is well equipped. It might not have a swimming pool, jacuzzi or any fancy hotel luxuries but this quaint place packs a punch with its deck, garden and views! We are going back for sure. Thanks."

Hidden away so that you feel isolated, but within walking distance of the Main Road, we spent a great few days just relaxing, browsing the antique stores and having some quality time alone.   "We spent 3 nights and 4 days at Goose Cottage in celebration of our 35th wedding anniversary. We immediately fell in love with the cottage on our arrival there. Its so perfectly situated adding privacy and tranquility to the stay. The country garden was lovely and we really appreciated the personal touches the hosts had placed in the cottage i.e. flowers, fruit, lovely home made soap and good coffee. Having no TV was great as we were able to take in the sounds of nature and re-charge away from the stress a busy life. We'll definitely return again. Thank you to the hosts Keith & Judi."
