"Enjoyed a lovely weekend in Stanford visiting friends, Nestle-In has everything you need, comfortable bed, everything you need for a comfortable stay. Enjoyed sitting outside in the sun sipping a cocktail. Lovely garden full of lettuce and spinach, which Viv kindly allowed us to pick. We enjoyed the close proximity to the river, enjoyed evening walks, listening to the birds roost while watching the sunset."

"We only stayed for one night, but really enjoyed our stay. The host Viv was very welcoming. The room was cozy, spacious and clead and it was so nice and quiet. In the morning we could head the little birds sing. The place was easy to find. There was an option to use a canoe, but unfortunately we run out of time. Thank you from Finland :)"

  • "Most enjoyable stay"

    26 November 2014

"We cycled to this place and were extremely happy to have found this little gem, a very nice and spotless room, with terrace and open view on a well maintained garden. Viv the owner is one of the most sympathetic hosts we had in SA, she invited us for soup and gave us a free ride to Hermanus. We hope a lot of people will discover this spot, together with Viv, they won't regret !"

"An understated establishment which offers excellent value for money. As birders and kayak-enthusiasts, we found the location ideal - close to the river yet not alongside it. The village is only a few blocks away, within easy walking distance. The bird life in the garden is something to behold, and birds were attracted to the patio by bird-feeders maintained by Viv. The accommodation is open-plan and very spacious, offering everything one needs. The absence of a TV was amply made up for in many other ways. Viv made a kayak available for us to use, and provided us with access to the Stanford bird hide. We have no doubt about recommending this establishment."
