  • "nice location- bad finishes and difficult access"

    09 September 2015

"<p><span style="color: rgb(88, 88, 88); font-family: &quot;helvetica&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;;">The finishing of the apartment is quite bad (just look at the air conditioning wires going out through the windows) and also the flat is difficult to access with luggage (just one slow lift on top of 2 floors of stairs only). Otherwise, central location, straight across from the beach, great view; such a shame there wasnt more attention for the finishing touches. Also, in one bathroom the soap dish was broken.<o:O:P></o:O:P></span></p><p style="text-align: left;"></br><br></br></p>"

  • "Feeling very done in"

    04 March 2015

"To be honest we were really disappointed with the accommodation. For over R7000 for 6 days. And due to a mistake we actually paid R1500 too little! We were really disappointed:<div>1- The bedding smelt terrible and felt as if it hadn't been washed in ages. The pillows literally stank of old sweat and dirt.</div><div>2 - The hot water tap didn't work at the kitchen sink</div><div>3 - The shower door in the one shower had a panel missing.</div><div>4 - my 3 year girl hurt her foot as the shower trap is broken</div><div>5 - The house was littered with rusted rubbish on the balconies - the 2 braais were so rusted and old I think they would have fallen apart if we had moved them.</div><div>5 - The general stock of utensils and kitchen stuff was terrible.</div><div>6 - the fridge didn't work properly.</div><div>7 - No towels - but I guess that can be attributed to people stealing them or using them for the beach?</div><div>8 - I realize that people don't look after things in places such as these so it is pointless putting in expensive furnishings - but honestly the stuff in the flat looks like it was found on the side of the street or a jumble sale.</div><div>9. The general state of the paint/ceilings in the flat is awful.</div><div>9. The building its self in in huge dis repair - the entire time the parking at the very bottom basement was in complete darkness.</div><div><br /></div><div>One cannot fault the location - for a beach holiday you can get better - we were just so so disappointed in the accommodation.</div>"

  • "Great apartment, but needs some attention"

    09 December 2013

"We enjoyed our stay at 72 Camargue, in spite of a couple of maintenance issues. The geyser kept on tripping the main power supply on arrival and the heating element had to be replaced the following morning. The shower door in the second bathroom is missing a panel. The air conditioners do not seem to function properly. Quality of crockery and cutlery can improve. It is unfortunately not clearly stated on the SafariNow information page that no bath towels are provided, but Umhlanga Vacations kindly assisted us with borrowed towels. The DSTV bouquet was disappointing - no MNet and no SS1 and SS2 channels. Visiting just outside peak period we enjoyed a good rest with quiet nights. Keep an eye out for unwanted visits from the monkeys though!"
