  "Had a very pleasant stay for the night. Had breakfast under patio which was tasty and service was good. Room was clean and comfortable. General appearance of the unused areas inside hotel needs to be addressed as furniture and catering equipment was standing all over?"

  "This is a pretty basic hotel but the river front facing rooms are as good as any 4 star hotel The pricing of the spacious rooms is outstanding The restuarant attached to the hotel serves the best seafood at incredibly reasonable prices and this alone is worth a visit. Overall it is outstanding vaue"

  "<p>We did not have a very good experience staying at Laaiplek Hotel.</p><p>1. The oil heater provided did not work and it was very very cold. Even after complaining to the lady at reception it was still not replaced</p><p>2. The toiler was leaking water and there was always water on the floor of the bathroom.</p>"

  "We thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday night stay at Laaiplek in Velddrif.&nbsp; The hotel is beautifully situated right on the Berg River with lawns down to the water.<br />The staff were friendly and made us welcome and our room was well appointed with a view of the river.<br />Being a Sunday the restaurant was extremely busy and difficult to get service but the food was good when it finally came.&nbsp; They do not serve dinner on Sunday night so we ordered dessert as a takeaway to have in our room later.&nbsp; Velddrif is very quaint with little rustic eateries along the river and all in all a great outing.<br /><br />"

  "My Wife and I recently visited the Laaiplek Hotel in Velddrif and we were really impressed by the Standard of Accommodation, theexcellent Food and excellent Service. I had a Seafood experience for Dinner that will be difficult to beat. Two Star Hotel with Four Star Accommodation and Five Star Food and Service. The view was exceptional and the Museum next door was ahighlight of thevisit. I recommend this Hotel for anyone who would like a nice trip away."

  "Overpriced for what you get considering that breakfast is not included. We were rather surprised after returning from our day trip on Sunday to find the hotel and facilities closed. When we phoned the manager we were informed that the hotel closes from 15h00 on Sundays. The only alternative to dinner was pizza at a local pub. The food however was very good."

  "Die personeel by Laaiplek hotel is baie vriendelik en baie behulpsaam.Ons het baie lekker gekuier en die omgewing baie geniet.(net jammer dat daar niks by bokkom laan aan gegaan het nie .)Sal Laaiplek Hotel vir almal aan beveel.Die restaurant se kos is puik en soos gewoonlik het ek oor eet!!!!"
