Kraaibos Accommodation

This is a fully equipped and spacious self-catering holiday house with fantastic views of St Sebastian Bay, and only a stones throw from the beach. The peaceful town of Witsand is situated just off the N2 on the Cape South Coast.

The house can be let as two separate units, with the main house on the top floor and the apartment on the ground floor. Both units have laundry facilities, DStv access and braai facilities. There is secure parking available on the property.

St Sebastian Bay and Witsand are virtually synonymous with the Southern Right Whale. The bay is the most important nursery for the large mammal and has one of the greatest concentrations of Southern Right Whales coming to calve here every year.

Witsand is also where the Breede River flows into the Indian Ocean, creating a river estuary for swimming, windsurfing, rock and surf angling, deep sea fishing and snorkeling. The beach is 4 km long with white bleached sand. Birdwatching along the Breede River is spectacular. Witsand also offers a friendly supermarket, which serves as a petrol station and a post office.

"The huge open plan top unit is a winner. Although we were only 2, it will accommodate 8 people comfortably. The unit has stunning views of the ocean and river mouth. Although not luxuriously equipped and with standard grade finishes , the kitchen is well equipped, overall making it good value for money."
