Imagine the delight of stepping out of your bed onto your private balcony, gazing at the unspoilt splendor of the Breede River and Indian Ocean. We are situated just off the garden route in Witsand known as the Whale Nursery of South Africa. This is where a large group of Southern Right Whales arriver annually to calf, during season you can view up to over a hundred whales in the bay.
The hotel endeavors to cater both for the local family traveler and the international traveler who would like to see a part of the real South Africa. We arrange conferences, weddings, special functions and other forms of personal catering. The hotel has a practical well equipped conference/special function room that seats up to 30 persons, and a large venue room seating up to 60 delegates. There is a variety of top class accommodation at the hotel with various options from a fully serviced hotel room to a fully self-catering unit. All accommodation comes with colour televisions and a variety of satellite channels.
Activities: We are situated in an area rich in its historical past and hugely conscious of its natural heritage and eco-sensitive surroundings.
We offer a wide range of excursion activities from wine routes, 4x4 eco trails, historical tours and visits to surrounding game farms, the De Hoop nature reserve, various fynbos and protea dune and coastal floral reserves. The Lodge not only has its own private harbor but also has boats to hire with or without experienced skippers available for fishing trips as well as various scenic cruises. The river, sea and coastal fishing are still excellent in this area. You will find it hard to be bored while staying with us in relative pampered luxury with so much to see and do.

13 June 2018"The room itself fine and acceptable . We found the staff very indifferent. The first day our room was never made up. Went I went to reception Monday afternoon to complain, I was told that she only arrived for duty short while ago and went reading her book. We were left to clean the room and wash the glasses and mugs our self. The restaurant attached to the resort excellent service and very good value for money"

28 September 2017"We were a little unhappy at the unit we received as I had specially asked to be away from any noise if possible and as I realise that renovations can take place we were placed right in the middle of the activity? the view was also poor as we looked smack bang into the back of the reception area. I believe it could be a very nice place if one could stay a little higher up and futher away from reception."

It should be in the cupboard.Being woken up at 6.00am on Sunday morning by a generator was unpleasant.Electricity goes off every morning so in self catering it becomes uncomfortable.Other then that it was ok will be great when the construction is completed."

A stunning resort with beautiful views, comfortable, up market apartments kept in tip-top condition. Highly recommended resort with a lot to do, so stay a minimum of 3 days !!!"
