Uitvlugt Guest House

Uitvlugt, a beautiful Cape Dutch homestead, is the only national monument guest house in the Worcester district and dates back to 1824. Privately owned, Uitvlugt offers guests tranquil Old World charm and the comfort and luxury of a hotel, with the friendliness and service of a guest house.

The guest rooms are elegantly appointed in the stables of bygone years, and Uitvlugt is well-renowned for its excellent breakfasts. We also have the necessary skills to cater for various functions, such as weddings and conferences.

  • "A Guest House Caught in a Time Warp"

    30 August 2017

"Small, cold dark room with no windows. No heating. Manager provided us with a small heater which produced more noise than heat. Small double bed. Bath towels so small you can wrap them around you waist (my waist is 32). TV looked about 40 years old with no DSTV. Wash basin ancient with no mixer taps. Clearly this is an owner that is not willing to spend any money on upgrades and only interested in filling the rooms with guests at quite an expensive rate for what you get."

"The accommodation was quaint and comfortable. I would give the room a 3/5. The breakfast was probably the best I have EVER had at a guest house! If you stay here... eat the breakfast, it was amazing. SO 5/5 for brekkie."

  • "Come as strangers leave as friends"

    24 March 2014

"It is in beautiful surroundings on a farm. Everyone is pleasant and friendly. The rooms are comfortable. I opted for B&B and the breakfast was superb. Every attention to detail and well presented. You can do your own thing because there is microwave, toaster and kettle. I thank Helene for answering her cellphone (twice) to give me directions. On my departure Marie shared some of her plants with me. Thank you friends."
